This mod is based on the I570EXXJE4 firmware with LK2.06.beta4
I made this for my own phone to make it easier when installing a clean firmware.
All you need to do is:
1. Flash new firmware (eg: I570EXXJE4) using ODIN
2. Flash LK2.06.beta4 using ODIN
3. Boot into recovery & apply this MOD
Optional:
Clear Data/Cache

Hello
I was driving by last night and I noticed your mini mod.
I couldn’t resist installing it and after playing with it for 24 hours I am glad it did!
I am now getting ~5.100 with Linpack which is an improvement on the custom ROM I was using previously (http://forum.frandroid.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=13642&p=19).
The only minus is the loud startup…. Any tips on how to lower the startup sound track?
Regards
James
The volume is controlled in the kernel.
To reduce the volume you would need to put on a kernel which doesn’t have the volume tweak or compile your own.
The earlier LKMod kernel had the samsung startup sound commented out in the source so you wouldn’t even hear it, so you could maybe try one of those and still retain the volume tweak
Hi !
It looks like being a nice mod ! I just have a question regarding video : do you, as well, experiment some delay between audio and video when watching a movie, either with youtube app or a movie player ? I saw other people on samdroidmod.net having these issues, but I wonder if this is more kernel-related or not…
Thanks for your answer,
Regards,
Sam
